Girl in a Blue Dress shortlisted for the Waverton Good Read Award

Tuesday, 27th April 2010
Gaynor Arnold has been shortlisted for this year’s Waverton Good Read Award for Girl in a Blue Dress.
Gaynor’s novel – a much acclaimed literary re-imagining of the relationship between Charles Dickens and his wife Catherine – is the third Tindal Street book to be shortlisted for the award since its inception in 2003. The prize-listing is the latest in a number of accolades for Girl in a Blue Dress, including a Man Booker long-listing and, most recently, a Le Prince Maurice Prize 2010 listing.
Voting commences this July, with the overall winner of the Waverton Good Read Award receiving £1000 at a presentation dinner in October, as part of Chester’s Literature Festival.
