Mez Packer wins a Coventry Inspiration Award for Among Thieves

It has been announced that Mez Packer is to receive a Coventry Inspiration Award after winning a sectional vote in the Coventry Inspiration Book Awards, for her debut novel Among Thieves.
The award comes on the heels of a successful 2010 for the Mez; Among Thieves – a pacy, countercultual thriller widely praised as a ‘highly original debut’ (Guardian) – was long-listed for the Authors’ Club Best First Novel Award in January, and in February was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Writers’ Prize for Best First Novel.
Mez will receive the Coventry Inspiration Award at the Coventry Lord Mayor’s reception on June 23rd.
