An evening of storytelling and performance with three TSP authors - 'Under the Skin'
Tuesday, 24th January 2012
The work of three contributors to Tindal Street’s anthology of British Asian fiction, Too Asian, Not Asian Enough, will be showcased in an evening of storytelling and performance, recorded live for broadcast on BBC Radio 4.
This Sunday 29 January, NSR Khan, Reshma Ruia and Too Asian‘s editor Kavita Bhanot will have their short stories performed in front of a live audience at the Soho Theatre for the event ‘Under The Skin’, in association with the DSC South Asian Literary Festival and BBC Radio.
NSR Khan and Reshma were both first published in Too Asian, Not Asian Enough – ‘a rewarding collection’ (Economist) – last autumn. Reshma’s story from the collection, ‘Another Life’, will feature in the evening, while NSR Khan and Kavita will be showcasing new work. All three stories contrast the nature of appearance and what really lies beneath. There will also be a Q&A session with the authors following the performances.
