University Link Highlights New Fiction
Monday, 29th March 2010
A happy collaboration with Michael Hulse at the University of Warwick (Department of English and Comparative Literary Studies) coincided with the launch of Alan Apperley’s Indeterminate Creatures, which took place at the Old Joint Stock Pub and Theatre in Birmingham on Thursday 25th March. The author read extracts from his just-published novel to an audience of over sixty attendees, and answered questions from Alan Mahar, Publishing Director. Copies of the latest issues of The Warwick Review had just been received, with Alan Apperley’s photograph on the cover.
The literary quarterly The Warwick Review has included chapters from two forthcoming novels from Tindal Street Press in a collaboration we hope will continue. An exerpt from Lesley Glaister’s Chosen (to be published in May) also features in the latest issue of the journal. Tindal Street Press has fostered links with Warwick University MA course in Creative Writing, giving regular talks to students and offering advice with their annual MA anthology.
